PEC Safeland

Safeland USA is an industry recognized training that provides an orientation level briefing of the hazards prevalent in the Oil & Gas industry. This instructor led course covers the following and more topics: Confined Space, Rigging, Basic Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Safety, Lockout/Tag-out, Fall Protection, Hazmat (HM 126), Hazardous communications (GHS), Personal Protective Equipment, Hearing Conservation, and Emergency Response.

H2S Awareness

Prepares workers to understand and react to emergencies involving H2S gas. Provides information on the chemical and physical characteristics of H2S gas, the hazards associated with H2S gas; and the the applicable legislations regarding HAZCOM and oil field safety requirements. PEC H2S Clear

This course is designed to provide clear instruction on the clear and present dangers of H2S – a hazard you cannot see. PEC H2S Clear will help students identify the physical and chemical properties, sources, symptoms, and hazards of hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Students will learn about H2S routes of exposure, as well as the proper selection, use, and maintenance of personal and respiratory protective equipment. Students will learn about workplace warnings, practices, and maintenance procedures to protect personnel from exposure to H2S. H2S detection and monitoring systems are introduced. Students will also learn about emergency response procedures, corrective actions, and shutdown procedures which may be necessary in the event of a H2S emergency.

NSC DDC-4

NSC Defensive Driving Courses teach drivers how to recognize and react to immediate and potential hazardous driving situations and conditions. Our instructor-led, classroom courses provide collision prevention strategies and defensive driving techniques that focus on behavior, judgement, decision making and consequences. These highly interactive courses will help influence drivers to make positive choices to improve driving behaviors and attitudes and encourage respectful and lawful decisions to avoid motor vehicle incidents and decrease traffic violations. Rigging Training

The Rigging Safety course covers basic rigging terminology, practices, and methods to avoid failures, accidents and mishandling of materials. In addition, we cover proper rigging material, inspection and stop work scenarios. This training does not cover “competent person” level training (Basin web link), however it does provide a thorough understanding in order to ensure confidence when observing rigging operations in the field.
